Bareroot Herbaceous Peonies XL and XXL
We offer a limited amount of plants available in extra large sizes (marked XL or XXL):
XL size peonies: When preparing peonies in October, I chose some of the largest, fine grown roots. I marked each individual plant (eg. Red Charm - XL plant No.10) and take a photo. You can order these plants - see the offer in this category below. If you order, for example, Avalanche - XL plant No.1, you will get the plant you see in the photo. Each of these exclusive plants is an original, only one piece is available! These plants are guaranteed to bloom in 2024!
XXL size peonies: I offer for sale big, strong peonies 5 to10 years old. The roots of each plant weigh at least 5 kg, in diam. cca 40 cm. They will bloom profusely in the first year after planting. These plants are still growing in the field, when you order one of them, I'll dig this plant out, clean the roots and prepare it for sending...
Peonies are sent bareroot by post - in the fall ( end of October, November, December) or early spring (late February to mid-April). Ordering only between October and mid-April.
ATTENTION!!! Please order peonies separately, without other perennials (i.e. without irises, daylilies and hostas)

CARNATION BOUQUET - XL plant No. 1 (2025)

Petals of uniform size give a carnation-like appearance. Wonderful spicy fragrance. One flower per stem, excellent for cutting. Very popular, but rare, seldom offered peony.

The most perfect form of any of the double salmon pink peonies. Flowers lovely fragrant. Normal grower, many thick strong stems, excellent for cutting. Highly awarded, but so far rarely available.

Mild sweet fragrance. The stems are strong and hold the large blooms erect. Excellent foliage. One of the best red coloured peonies, excellent for cutting.

Newly opened flowers appear to be light orange, heavily flushed with pink, some petals have dark pink streaks. Mature flowers salmon to deep yellow. Combination of the two color stages gives the plant a very pretty two-tone effect (click on the photo to see them). Very floriferous, 3-4 buds per stem, 50 flowers in one plant! Flowers are virtually unaffected by heavy rain, thus the name. Plant height 120 cm. Very beautiful, only rarely offered peony, always in high demand. Limited amount of plants.
